That’s right folks, the DnD Improv Show is back again this 2012 Winnipeg Improv Festival!
This improv show is a hit, a “line up around the block” and a “sold out run of shows” kind of hit for the Winnipeg International Fringe Festival. The show is based on the much-loved game of Dungeons & Dragons, which is a role playing game and just happens to be a perfect fit for improv. This show has giant dice, amazing costumes and hilarity. Did we mention the blood yet? This show has quite the following, so you had better show up in full costume as to not look like an outsider. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a lover of D&D to enjoy the show… but it helps.
Gas Station Arts Centre, 445 River Ave. | 8 p.m. | $10

Everyone in the cast would like to thank each and every one of you for coming to see our show. The fans were so dedicated, it’s no wonder they sparked an article in the Winnipeg Free Press! People came dressed up, knew what to say when a natural 1 was rolled, and on the last day we even had 2 separate games of Munchkin going on in the lineup! Thank you all so much. Without your dedication we wouldn’t be here.
The Audience Costumes section has been fully updated, and we now have a new section! The Fan-Art page! Check it out for some fantastic artistic talent!
The videos of the 2012 Winnipeg Fringe will be up shortly!

In past years, we have had line-ups so insane that if you weren’t there an hour and a half in advance you might not get in! That’s why we recommend buying tickets in advance!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, after careful thought and a whole lot of reading, we have selected the winning entry from the official Fan-Fiction Contest! Congratulations to Russell Martens of Winnipeg Manitoba! His epic novella “True Names” was a whopping 48 pages long, and was not only committed to the genre, but covered over 1300 years of the DnD Show’s history! (Not to mention justified countless plot holes) Why was Nigel Copperbottom just standing in the middle of a forest? What happened to the rest of the world when mama went back in time? All of these questions finally have an answer! Russell Martens will be able to enjoy 2 free passes to every one of our 10 shows this 2012 Winnipeg Fringe!
His, and all other submissions can be viewed on the Fan-Fiction page!
I got a lot of requests to extend the deadline another week because of last minute changes and the like, so I am! The new extended deadline is this Saturday the 10th of June!
Just a reminder that the grand prize is 2 tickets to every DnD Show at this years 2012 Fringe Festival! Yippie! For more information about the contest, click the link on the nav bar to the left!
